ReGen was founded on a simple observation: many of the most pressing community challenges are not the result of limited resources, but of fragmented efforts.
After decades of leadership across housing authorities, county government, community foundations, economic development, and higher education, our founder recognized a consistent pattern. Organizations with shared goals were often working in parallel rather than in partnership limiting their collective ability to create lasting impact.
That experience became the foundation for ReGen.
Today, ReGen works alongside public agencies, nonprofits, foundations, educational institutions, and community leaders to strengthen collaboration, align stakeholders, and develop strategies that lead to measurable, sustainable outcomes.

ReGen’s mission is to drive the practical convergence of community and economic development through an integrated community asset-building approach.
ReGen redesigns communities with intention through a longitudinally informed data framework, community diagnostics, project and program infrastructure, and the activation and reallocation of underutilized assets—including people, places, and capital resources.
The ReGen model focuses on the design and deployment of Sustainability Centers and Resilience Hubs within communities, alongside community-led master planning. These efforts create spaces where essential community-serving programs are coordinated and critical resources are readily accessible.
